The Yolo County YMCA will host its annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Yolo County YMCA building on College Street.
According to a local press release, the annual free event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season.
Sponsored nationally by Peanuts, Healthy Kids Day's mission is to turn fun and play into lifelong memories.
Some featured activities include a bounce house, fire truck and police patrol car tours, kids Zumba, a variety of youth sports, including martial arts demonstrations, and so much more.
"It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally," stated the Director of Marketing and Communications for the YMCA of Superior, California Sierra Bamsey. "At the Y, we
believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, no matter the time of year. Healthy
Kids Day is a fun, free communitywide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great
summer activities the Y has to offer."
The Yolo County YMCA aims to affirm our place in the heart of the Yolo County community. The organization and its members are dedicated to fostering growth, resilience, and partnership with fellow organizations for generations to come. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Locally, Healthy Kids Day is sponsored by United Way and Raleys.

The YMCA of Superior California was formed as a result of the merger of the Yolo County, Yuba-Sutter, Oroville, and Greater Sacramento YMCAs. It now encompasses five service areas—Sacramento, Yolo, Oroville, Gold Country, and Fair Oaks. Each is volunteer-led and a powerful advocate for the needs of children, families, and individuals in their communities.
