Daily writing prompt
Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?
In many ways, we live in a world that is based on a fantasy. Sure, that's a bit of a harsh statement and look at things, but nevertheless in many instances, it's true.
In the broad scheme, we see only what others "want us to see." We could go on and on from some sort of geo-political perspective, but the prompt is asking "Which aspects make a person unique."
First of all, it isn't appearance, clothes, stature, a job and all that external stuff...all of which can vanish in a moment that makes a person unique. It's their personality that makes them who they are.
But, it is even more than simply personality. Why?
We are all unique because we are all different. How many times have you heard someone pipe up and say, "You know, you and your sister are like two peas in a pod" or a phrase similar? Although perhaps similar in personality, both are truly unique individuals.
And that's the beauty, simplicity and ultimately the complexity of personality. Two people may have remarkably similar personalities, but it's the complex woven nature of individuals, that ends up making them truly unique, even though in all appearances their personalities may look the same.
It is the vastness and intricacy of the soul; the inner deep workings beyond the physical aspects of who we are that makes each of us truly unique.
