Hello! It's me, Sephora, back at it with another talented individual! It's been very hectic lately with many projects and it will only get busier! But let's get into who the spotlight will be on this week!
Jenna Zerilli!
A Sophmore Art Therapy Major, Jenna loves exploring different mediums in art!
Major: Art Therapy
Minor: Art History
Graduation Year: 2026
I am majoring in Art because…
I have been doing art from a really young age and have always had a huge passion for it. Through the years, I've expanded my knowledge through exploring different mediums, which college has helped me do.
The kinds of things that inspire me are…
I am inspired by nature, other artists and their wonderful creations, and exciting positive experiences.
My favorite art class so far was…
My favorite art class so far has been 3D design. I absolutely loved being able to work with different mediums instead of just one ( such as wood, plaster, and glass), and working hands-on is always something I enjoy.
When I am not in class…
I am usually taking pictures, enjoying nature, and getting involved in different things around campus
The coolest thing I have done at Marywood so far was…
I have had my art/photos featured in 3 galleries on campus!
When I graduate…
I want to work towards furthering my degree in art therapy, and hopefully find a practice where I can work with kids
I would recommend the Art program at Marywood because…
There is so much variety in the type of art that is offered that you will most likely find something you enjoy doing. I know for me, there are so many different mediums that I never would have thought of working with before I came to college, and ended up really enjoying them! There are also a bunch more that I hope to be able to try during the rest of my time here.
What excites me most about Art is…
Not only the endless possibilities but also the healing factor of it. There are so many different forms of art like I have mentioned, and each medium can be great for different scenarios. I have found myself looking to art to express my emotions or as a therapeutic outlet, and I really am passionate about how much art soothes the soul.
Here is some beautiful artwork from Jenna!
I hope you enjoyed learning about Jenna and her time so far at Marywood as well as enjoyed her art! Experimenting with different mediums and art forms allows us to further learn better about ourselves and our art styles!
Thank you all for reading this week's post, like always I enjoy writing them.
See ya! Sephora, out! ❤
