Join the Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild for an exciting meeting
The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild extends a warm invitation to all quilting enthusiasts to attend their upcoming guild meeting on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Lakeport Senior Center located at 527 Konocti Ave, Lakeport, CA, United States, California.
This month's meeting promises to be a captivating experience for all attendees. Renowned Guild Member, Kris Nelson, will be sharing her expertise on English Paper Piecing (EPP). Known affectionately as EPP, this hand sewing technique is perfect for quilting on the move. Kris, whose passion for sewing and quilting was sparked by her mother, an avid quilter, will delve into the origins and fundamentals of EPP, equipping attendees with the essentials to embark on their own EPP journey.
Following Kris Nelson's insightful lecture, guild member Kerrie Hershey will lead a session on braiding and couching techniques using home machines. Attendees will learn how to embellish their quilts using pearl cotton, silk ribbon, or other decorative fibers, all from the comfort of their own sewing machines. Whether you're a seasoned quilter or just starting out, this session promises to inspire creativity and exploration.
Kerrie Hershey, a self-described traditional quilter, brings a wealth of experience to the table.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their sewing machines, power cords, foot controls, open toe foot, pearl cotton, matching thread, size 80 sharp needle, pencil, small sharp scissors, and two twelve-inch squares of muslin or contrasting fabric. Whether you're eager to dive in or prefer to observe, there's something for everyone at this month's guild meeting.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your quilting repertoire and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Join us for an enriching experience that promises to spark creativity and foster camaraderie within the quilting community.
