Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) recently celebrated the culmination of its middle school volleyball tournaments, marking another successful chapter in the district's sports programs. The tournaments, which took place earlier this month, showcased the athletic talents of seventh and eighth-grade students across seven middle schools, offering an exciting glimpse into the future of local volleyball.
On January 23, the tournament ended with seventh-grade girls competing at Henry E. Lackey High School and their male counterparts showcasing their skills at La Plata High School. Two days later, on January 25, it was the eighth graders' turn, with girls playing at Lackey and boys at La Plata. This structured series of events provided a platform for young athletes to compete, learn, and display sportsmanship.
