About
This photo and video exhibition immerses us in the multiple facets and paths of self-accomplishment in Kenya today.
It captures, visually and through personal stories, the quest for self-accomplishment as tied to questions of wealth, power, authority and respectability. It shows a variety of expressions for the art of being accomplished, from marrying and raising children to engaging in community work to investing in business, art, or politics. Being an accomplished man or woman requires navigating multiple, conflicting values and expectations situated at the intersection of ethnicity, race, class, age, generation, gender, and religion.
