| dawn Jan 10 | Sky was able to come early yesterday since it was supposed to be even harsher weather after 3 but it didn't get any more threatening, in fact, par from some big wind gust it was just rain. The morning was a monsoon though. So much rain fell from the sky it was amazing. We had to go out in the early morning for his labs but after that we stayed in. Sky made chocolate chip cookies since there was time before dinner. While he was baking them he said wouldn't it be awful if the power went off right now little did we know that in just a matter of hours that would be the case. But first, Cannon Pharmacy on South Cannon Blvd in Kannapolis screwed up again. The heart doctor called Wayne in another prescription, a new one and they sent out an old one, a big big bottle of something we didn't even need but no sign of the new one. I laughed, out loud. I did, that's all I could do, just laugh. How can a pharmacy be so negligent? I must have fell asleep watching the Beverly Hillbillies because when I woke up Oliver from Green Acres was talking to Mr. Ziffel, Arnold's dad, and I was trying for figure out what he was doing on the Beverly Hillbillies. That's when the power went out and back on and out and back on and out. Fortunately, it was only out for 45 minutes. I wasn't even going to bother with it but Sky got up and Wayne got up so we just hung out. Wayne turned on his generator and Sky contacted Energy United and that was that. Today we'll head out to pick up a few things I need for my art and a few groceries and then we'll meet my brother at Home Depot to pick up the hot water heater and go to his place to install it so I have no idea when we'll be back home. Sigh. At least the laundry is done, the bathroom is cleaned and mopped and I've packed Sky's lunch for tomorrow. I wonder if there's time to practice my ukulele before Wayne gets up? | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
