First, a confession. We grabbed this little devotional for two main reasons:
It piqued our interest, and
It's short.
Number 2 is a good thing for those of us with the attention span of a gnat. (Hi, Mom.)
But really. We had just finished a 678-page slog to the middle of No Where sandwiched between three Gag Me With Meow Mix losers, two Well, Barf chasers and a You Have GOT To Be Kidding Me aperitif.
Aching Hair Recovery
We were sooo not in the mood for another 678-page slog to Dullsville that'd make your hair ache. Her Momness was feeling kinda grumpy. (Might've been the dinner roll hockey pucks or the Seahawks getting clobbered. Or those unkind remarks from a relative. Dontcha just love family get-togethers over the holidays? Ya never know.)
Majorly Cranky
Anyway, we really didn't feel like reading this book. Cuz one of us was doing her Majorly Cranky, Too Much Turkey Hangover thing. We had to put this book aside for a spell until Her Royal Crankiness wasn't so royally cranky.

Surprising
So The Way of Gratitude arrived the day after Thanksgiving. And we finally got around to this book. And it surprised us. Here's why:
