A few years ago(and something I should get back to doing more often) were pencil sketches.
Getting back to sketching works for a couple of reasons. First, doing them does tend to help in getting perspective correct as well as areas in a painting that need to be darker or lighter(shading).
Lastly, they're just plain fun.
This was the result of a fun doodle of what happens when a "puppy is left alone" for a few minutes.
Maybe your puppy never wrapped itself in Christmas lights while you were out.
But, how many of us have had pets(dogs or cats or something else) that managed to get into the Christmas tree or presents while you were out of the room or out for the evening enjoying yourselves.
--as always with love--
--- get outdoors; find inspiration; discover yourself ---
