Virtue signalling as a replacement for positive policies and a distraction from negative ones has been a penchant of Labour since it came to power six years ago.
Labour has excelled in making announcements about announcements that are all high on intention and low on practicality.
It's repeatedly mistaken fine words and what it thinks are good intentions as a substitute for policies that actually make a positive difference.
An example of this is the ute tax which imposed costs on people who need the vehicles for their work when there's no fossil fuel-free alternatives.
Another is changing gun laws which forced law abiding citizens to give up their weapons but did nothing about the lawless people with fire arms.
Virtue signalling is another very good reason to vote Labour out.
