Yesterday(Wednesday), we both made it back to the "old homestead" along the shores of the Bay of Fundy. We arrived back in Nova Scotia, late Tuesday afternoon and spent Tuesday night with our daughter in Halifax.
Lynn was away for a total of about 47 days. She came back home, feeling pretty good, after setting up and preparing her Dad to handle life on his own, after the passing of her mom. I would imagine that the first few days might be a challenge for him, but with some luck, I'm sure he will settle into a routine that works for him.
There wasn't much more, if anything else she could have accomplished staying. There were a few things or help her Dad was interested in learning or taking part in, and others not so much. So, there is only so much that one can do.
Anyway, we're back home now and getting settled back into our own routine. My guess is it will take a bit of time for things to get back to normal for Lynn. Even for myself, it feels like I need a bit of time to decompress from the previous 6 or 7 weeks.
But, today appears to be a grocery shopping day, seeing there is not much, in fact, no food in the house.
