All too often, one has to miss out on a show due to the fact that they can't seem to convince any friends to go out. Or maybe, you meet your match at a show, and somehow forget to exchange contact information. Perhaps you're staying in a new city for the weekend, and have no idea where to go out and dance. Phillip Butler, CEO of Radiate, decided to solve these predicaments that many of ourselves find us in when the weekend rolls around.
Inspired by a missed connection at Mysteryland in 2015, Phillip sought out to create a platform that can connect our wonderful community. With a swipe feature, the app connects you with people going to the same shows, or festivals, opening up more connections at events. The beauty of this app is the way that is isn't marketed or pushed at a dating app, although you can certainly find your special someone if the heart desires it. Where the app shines is its versatility. You can find local shows, buy tickets, find rides to carpool, meet friends, host events, and even look for a significant other.
Although not mentioned in the article, EDMtrain, another popular app among partygoers, has partnered with Radiate to bring even more features and connection to the community. You can now join local event chats, to meet up with people going to events just down the street from you. These two giants in the EDM world coming together means a more streamlined process buying tickets, and meeting friends.
