Toni Parkhurst of Budget Blinds Awarded Franchisee of the Year by International Franchise Association
The International Franchise Association earlier this year named Toni Parkhurst, owner of Budget Blinds in Fairfield and Vacaville as a 2023 Franchisee of the Year. Parkhurst was honored at the 63rd IFA Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, for being an outstanding franchise establishment owner-operator.
"Franchisee of the Year recipients represent the best in franchising," said Matthew Haller, president and CEO of the International Franchise Association. "This is the highest honor IFA awards to individual franchisees, and local business owners like Toni Parkhurst exemplify the power of franchising and its positive contributions to communities around the world."
The Franchisee of the Year Award, sponsored by IFA's partner Paychex, recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance, and promote the franchise business model. Nominated by their parent company, individuals are selected for their service to their communities, fostering a strong and vibrant workforce, opening the doors for career growth and entrepreneurship, and supporting their fellow franchisees.
Parkhurst has been working in the window covering sector since 1991 and first became a Budget Blinds franchisee over 15 years ago. In a short amount of time, her business flourished, and she was able to accumulate $600,000 in annual sales in only her first year. Today, her company has grown significantly, reaching $7.5 million in annual sales in 2022.
In 2020, Parkhurst moved her Budget Blinds team into a brand new 5,700-square-foot showroom and office facility where the team is able to invite customers in to view life-size samples, as well as host workshops, events, mixers, strategic community planning meetings, and more. Parkhurst's team has won the Best of Solano County for window coverings consecutively for thirteen years. Additionally, Parkhurst on the board of directors with her local Chamber of Commerce and is a strategic partner of the National Association of Realtors. She also belongs to the Solano County Builders Association and the Women's Council of Realtors.
"It's an honor to be recognized by the International Franchise Association and I'm truly humbled to see how far my team and company has come over these past 15 years," said Parkhurst. "Being a Budget Blinds franchisee has been a very rewarding experience. I'm grateful for the incredible support I've received from Home Franchise Concepts and am overjoyed that every day I'm able to serve the community I love."
