Carrying on. Woke up with air hunger and a feeling like I had lead weights attached to my legs. Went to doc appointment, got my naltrexone locked down, came home, had a smoothie with Boost beverage as a base, plus a packet of powdered vitamin C. This seemed to improve things from the moment I finished drinking it. It was also loaded with half a cup frozen berries and a big banana. Maybe I needed sugar.
So then I decided I wanted a real meal and cooked breakfast for me and B. A cup of coffee helped with this.
In all, it was a rough morning but I feel better.
The naltrexone discussion confused me. There was talk of starting on 25 MG and then going up to 50 MG or even higher. Depending on if you are getting the effect you want. What? The object is to block the effect of booze in the brain. If this is true, then why does dosage matter? Am I expected to purposely drink on it, then go back to him and let him know at what dose of the pill I ceased to feel the warm hug/rush of that initial booze high? I'd do well to discuss this with the pharmacist. The only other thing I can think of is that the pill must have an anti-depressant effect too and that is what he was getting at.
Anyway food is done so I am out.
