I have been filling most evenings recently with yard work. A few nights ago, this skink stopped by while I was mulching. He hung around for a long time, supervising my efforts.
Last night, this handsome fellow appeared while I was trying to clear a patch of poison ivy. I'm not sure if he's a stray or if he belongs to a neighbor but he was chatty. I asked his name and he murmured a few short meows. When I suggested he should go home, he said something that sounded like no.
I can't deal with any more strays right now so I went back to work and ignored him till he disappeared. But man, it was hard. If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to have all the cats I want and provide a home to anyone that needs it.
Meanwhile, I'll just admire their pretty faces and be glad that they sometimes stop by to supervise me.
