SHERIFF'S REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office:
TRANSPORTATION OF MARIJUANA: Efrain Aquino, 35, of New York, was booked at Mendocino County Jail May 24 on suspicion of possessing and transporting marijuana for sale and disorderly conduct. He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Jose M. Lorenzana Lucero, 31, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail May 24 on suspicion of domestic violence, threatening a witness and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.
VEHICLE THEFT: Anthony Escobedo, 46, of Lake County, was booked at county jail May 25 on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent. He was arrested by the UPD.
UNLAWFUL WEAPON POSSESSION: Cray Earl Hall, 36, of San Francisco, was booked at county jail May 25 on suspicion of receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and of being a felon/addict in possession of a firearm. He was arrested by the MCSO.
CRUELTY TO A CHILD: Sylvester C. Joaquin Jr., 59, of Covelo, was booked at county jail May 25 on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child, domestic battery and of committing offenses while out on bail. He was arrested by the MCSO.
VANDALISM: Alden Larvie, 36, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail May 25 on suspicion of felony vandalism and failure to appear. He was arrested by the UPD.
ARSON: Jose L. Rodriguez, 37, of Redwood Valley, was booked at county jail May 25 on suspicion of arson, causing a fire and of felony vandalism. He was arrested by the UPD.
DUI: German Tobar Cruz, 47, of Oakland, was booked at county jail May 25 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and child neglect. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Angel R. Vivas, 33, of Laytonville, was booked at county jail May 25 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
DRUG SALES: Joseph D. Ballard, 64, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail May 26 on suspicion of transporting a controlled substance and possessing it for sale, possession of marijuana and of violating his parole. He was arrested by the FBPD.
DUI: Vincent L. Bertain, 75, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail May 26 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
INSURANCE FRAUD: Ana M. Carrillo Rivera, 56, of Boonville, was booked at county jail May 26 on suspicion of filing a false insurance claim. She was arrested by the MCSO.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: Steven M. Green, 35, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail May 26 on suspicion of domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon and of making criminal threats. He was arrested by the UPD.
POSSESSING OBSCENE MATTER: Brian L. Klovski, 43, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail May 26 on suspicion of possessing more than 600 images of minors involved in sex acts and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the MCSO.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
