After a rather dull and rainy week and in addition to working Thursday and Friday, we took Saturday to do a road trip up through a portion of New Brunswick closest to us and along the Northumberland shore and back down into our province, Nova Scotia.
We came close to making it three provinces(Prince Edward Island), but it was mid to late afternoon and a venture onto the Island would have only involved an only a two to three-hour drive around.
Also didn't want to spend $50.25 to come back across the Confederation Bridge which connects Prince Edward Island to the mainland if our visit was going to be relatively short.
Nevertheless, it was nice just to get out for the day. The sun was shining, with temperatures around 10 to 12 degrees Celsius.
Many attractions, shops, and seasonal restaurants in many of these smaller communities aren't open just yet. But, having said that, many are open.
We do need to remind ourselves that it is just the first week of May and not the middle of summer. We did see a couple of restaurants and shops that would be nice to check out in the summer.
A few beach pictures.
