The American Canyon boys volleyball team swept Analy on Tuesday night, winning 25-20, 25-12, 25-23.

The Wolves are now 6-4 and 3-1 in the Vine Valley Athletic League.

Leading the offense was Xavian Millanes with 12 kills, an ace and seven seven digs. Shawn Bernal had five five kills and six digs, while Cire Echevarria had three kills and two aces.

Jerome Maneja contributed with 18 assists, four kills and seven digs, while his teammate Ryan Tran added 25 assists to go with four aces.

Back row protection came from Gabe Macaso with 14 digs and three assists, while Armand De Dios had eight digs. Arch-Ivan Cruz had an ace and a block, Ethan Garcia had an ace, a kill and two blocks, while Luke Lacson had a kill and two assists. Jan Torres had a kill, while Josh Hmun had an assist.

Badminton

Vallejo 11, Pinole Valley 6

The Vallejo High badminton team defeated Pinole Valley on Tuesday 11-6.

In girls singles, Vallejo had wins from Cindy Yu and Paola Torres.

In boys singles Vallejo had wins from Rodonel Escobar and Kyle Mabasa. Mabasa and Escobar are undefeated on the season. Ricky Dumag and Jason Arucan also won in boys singles.

In girls doubles, Vallejo had a win from the team of Rachell Ordonez and Ehlen Escobar, while Cyrus Davis and John Rey Gawat won in boys doubles.

Youth football

Fundraiser coming on Sunday for Coach Sarna League

The Coach Sarna League, a Non-Profit youth activities league in Vallejo, is having a Pop-Up Fundraiser at Tacos Jaliscos at 3420 Sonoma Blvd in Vallejo on Sunday.

The event is scheduled for that day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be a raffle, dancing, music, vendors with specialty merchandise, food and prizes.

Proceeds from the event will go towards The Coach Sarna League Scholarship Fund. The Coach Sarna League is named after long time Hogan High School Coach and Athletic Director Ed Sarna. The League has a motto that "every child should play, regardless of their financial ability".

The league has an NFL Youth Flag Football League as well at a STEM League which is a competitive Lego Building League.
