The latest update on activities funded by Measure B provided by Mendocino County officials is as follows:
1. The Behavioral Health Regional Training Center now has a direct email address: BHTrainingCenter@mendocinocounty.org.
Community members are encouraged to use that email for booking availability and general inquiries.
Funds for the center: Total Project Budget Amount: $937,498; Cost through FYE 21/22: $652,153; Unspent Budgeted Funds: $285,345.
2. Crisis Assessment and Psychiatric Hospitalization Aftercare: Measure B funding continues to provide a pathway for individuals who historically have not had access to crisis after care services reaching parity for non-Medi-Cal recipients.
3. Crisis Residential Treatment Facility: Phoenix House (on South Orchard Avenue) is open and operational. Clients must be referred through Redwood Community Crisis Services. Current client census: Six, total clients since opening 42.
Total Project Budget Amount: $4.44 mil; Cost through FYE 21/22: $4.2 mil; Unspent Budgeted Funds: $264,737.
3. Fort Bragg Crisis Respite: Redwood Community Services and Redwood Quality Management Corporation planned to move into the Cypress Offices on Nov. 29, 2022. The RCS Crisis Program, Adult Outpatient Services and the Crisis Respite Program will be located in Suite A. The RQMC Medication Support Services address will be located in Suite B.
RCS has not established a start date for the Crisis Respite program. Hiring and training activities are underway. Services in the Crisis Respite program will begin as soon as the Crisis Respite program is adequately staffed.
4. Mobile Crisis Response Team Pilot: We have two full-time staff responding seven days a week. Hours vary throughout the week: 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday to Sunday. We continue to recruit to fill vacant positions. FY 22-23 YTD Call Responses: 258; Call Responses Since Program Start: 592; Call responses September to date: 53.
5. Psychiatric Health Facility – Nacht & Lewis, AECOM, and county staff have been meeting regularly on the demolition, design, construction, and programming requirements for the Psychiatric Health Facility at Whitmore Lane.
