At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 30, 2022, receipts at 21 markets totaled an estimated 14,000 head compared to 13,056 last week and 15,199 last year. Compared to last week. Slaughter classes sold steady to 3.00 lower. Feeder classes sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower. Trade moderate with moderate demand on feeders.

FL Weekly Livestock Market Report

At Florida Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 30, 2022, receipts at 10 markets 1,547 last week 8,717 last year 9,295. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows and bulls mostly steady to 2.00 lower. Feeder cattle unevenly steady. Replacement cows 5.00 to 10 higher. All trends were very limited with several markets closed.

Most markets and order buyers closed this week in preparation for Hurricane Ian. Several livestock markets, order buyers and a large slaughter facility are in direct path of the storm. Market's closures and potential coverage for several markets for next week are in question.

Year-to-date receipts totaled 239,952 compared to 260,771 last year.

Year-to-date receipts totaled 307,494 compared to 305,303 last year.
