POLICE REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 707-463-6205.
CAMPING CITATIONS: An officer patrolling in the 300 block of East Perkins Street at 3:23 a.m. Sept. 1 cited two people for illegal camping: a 50-year-old Ukiah woman, and a 50-year-old Napa man. They were both cited and released.
RECKLESS DRIVER: Caller at the corner of North State and Standley streets reported at 4:47 p.m. Sept. 1 there was a reckless driver in the area. An officer responded and arrested Carlos Flores, 47, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail.
SHOPLIFTER: Caller at Walmart on Airport Park Boulevard reported a shoplifter at 6:24 p.m. Sept. 1. An officer responded and arrested Faith Galloway, 37, of Lakeport, on suspicion of theft. She was cited and released.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of North State Street at 12:05 a.m. Sept. 2 and arrested Dominik Idica, 23, of Redwood Valley, on suspicion of driving under the influence, evading an officer, resisting arrest and conspiracy, as well as Daniel Hoaglen-Lockart, 26, of Eureka, on suspicion of resisting arrest and possessing an assault weapon; Rolando Ruiz, 39, of Lakeport, on suspicion of conspiracy, and James Alfaro, 27, of Hopland, on suspicion of harboring a wanted person. All suspects were booked into county jail.
BATTERY: Caller at Building Bridges on South State Street reported at 3:56 p.m. Sept. 2 that someone spit at and pushed an employee at the shelter. An officer responded and took a report.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle on East Perkins at Warren Drive at 1:55 a.m. Sept. 3 and arrested Emily G. Corona, 29, of Willits, on suspicion of driving under the influence, along with a 26-year-old Redwood Valley man and a 34-year-old Sebastopol man for being drunk in public.
DUI: An officer responded to a traffic collision in the 1100 block of South State Street at 9:24 a.m. Sept. 3 and arrested Jose Gonzalez-Rodriguez, 20, of Ukiah, on suspicion of causing injury while driving under the influence and driving without a license. He was booked into county jail.
MAN VANDALIZING GARDEN: Caller at Plowshares in the 1300 block of South State Street reported at 3:32 p.m. Sept. 3 that a man was "tearing up the garden." An officer responded and reported that the caller did not want to press charges, but that the man was given a trespassing warning.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer conducting a follow-up on El Rio Court arrested Aliysa Griffin, 37, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence. She was booked into county jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to a motel in the 1000 block of South State Street at 1:27 a.m. Sept. 4 for a report of a fight and arrested Michelle Bauer, 40, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked into county jail.
FIGHT: An officer responded to the 500 block of North State Street at 1:58 a.m. Sept. 4 and arrested Israel G. Rodriguez, 29, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence and assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into county jail.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Thomas Street at 1:50 a.m. Sept. 5 and arrested Mario Cabeszas-Rodriguez, 41, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was cited and released.
BURGLARY: Caller in the 100 block of Perry Street reported at 10:29 a.m. Sept. 5 that they were arguing with a woman who just broke into the yard. An officer responded and arrested a Point Arena woman for trespassing and resisting arrest. She was cited and released.
NEIGHBOR PARKING PROBLEM: Caller in the 500 block of North School Street reported at 6:22 p.m. Sept. 6 having a "ongoing issue with a neighbor parking too closely to his vehicle."
DOG BITE: An officer responded to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley at 12:38 p.m. Sept. 6 and took a report of a dog bite.
DRUNK IN DRIVE-THRU: Caller at Taco Bell in the 1200 block of North State Street reported at 9:38 p.m. Sept. 6 that two males came through the drive-thru and told the caller that they were drunk. An officer checked the area but they were gone.
CAMPERS IN CREEK: Caller on Myron Place reported at 10:21 p.m. Sept. 6 that people were camping in the creek. An officer responded and arrested a 31-year-old Clearlake woman for multiple warrants and booked her into county jail.
CAMPERS IN CREEK: An officer in the 300 block of Brush Street gave two people citations for camping in Orr Creek at 6:53 a.m. Sept. 8: a 47-year-old Ukiah man and a 36-year-old Ukiah man.
SHOPLIFTERS: An officer responded to Safeway on South State Street at 9:56 a.m. Sept. 8 for a report of shoplifting and arrested a 31-year-old woman for theft and conspiracy, and a 24-year-old woman for theft, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance. They were both booked at county jail.
DUI: An officer contacted a person behaving suspiciously at the corner of South Main and East Perkins streets at 11:07 a.m. Sept. 8 and arrested Nicole Sanderson, 27, on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was cited and released.
DUI: An officer responding to a traffic collision in the 1200 block of South State Street at 9:53 p.m. Sept. 8 arrested Shawna Marie Cochran, 39, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was booked into county jail.
CAMPING CITATIONS: An officer patrolling in the 300 block of East Perkins Street at 12:34 a.m. Sept. 9 cited two people for violating city codes against camping and state laws regarding polluting waterways: a "Jane Doe" and a 63-year-old Ukiah man.
DUI: Caller in the 600 block of Talmage Road reported at 3:22 p.m. Sept. 9 that someone who had been drinking drove off in a vehicle. An officer responded and arrested Jesus Zamora-Martinez, 26, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence and without a valid license. He was booked into county jail.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
