Patagonia Terrebonne Joggers Review
Chilling mid-run in the Terrebonne Joggers.

Do-it-all joggers

Slim-fit joggers are increasingly popular for all-around use. There's something about an efficient, slim cut and simple cuffs that make them easy to live with. Not to be left out, the Patagonia Terrebonne Joggers are a great offering into the yoga/lounge/trail pants space. It hasn't taken long for me to get a fair bit of use out of the Terrebonne's because they look and feel great.

Since they are called "joggers," I had to test them trail running. As it turns out, they feel comfortable while running. While they do get a little tight when pushing hard, they flex and stretch just enough to not restrict your movements. The fabric does block wind and provides a little bit of extra warmth, but don't consider these "thermal" pieces by any stretch of the imagination. A stiff breeze will remind you just how thin they are.

Patagonia Terrebonne Joggers Review - Trail Running
A cold morning trail run suited the Terrebonne's just fine.

For indoor activities like yoga or core training, the Terrebonne Joggers are ideal. There's a reason why Patagonia chose to include a tied waistband because you'll need it. Untied, you'll really notice the backside getting low when squatting. Tie them up and this problem resolves itself. So, do everyone around you a favor and keep these joggers tied up at the waist.

Front pockets are just the right size for whatever you need. And, the pocket construction is unique in that mesh fabric for each pocket is continuous along the waistband, connecting each pocket. That design tends to keep the pockets in place and not easily turned inside-out. The soft/stretchy waistband and cuffs offer added comfort at those touchpoints. I will say that the waistband does slightly fold over itself when you put them on, but it's easily corrected. The zippered rear pocket is an odd size, but does the job and also stays in place nicely

Around town, at the office and lounging, the Terrebonne Joggers are outstanding. Honestly, I feel like wearing these every day since they arrived. You can rock them just about anywhere in style.

Fit: I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs with a 32" inseam and 33" waist. The size medium fits perfectly.

The Good

  • Lightweight and breathable
  • Snug fitting, but still stretch just enough
  • Tie waistband gives a good fit
  • Nice pocket design
  • Light DWR adds versatility
  • Recycled fabrics throughout
  • Great for travel (they pack way down)

The Bad

  • You'll feel that winter breeze

The Bottom Line: Patagonia Terrebonne Joggers

The cool kids wear joggers all the time and these prove that joggers aren't just for the cool kids. Of course, like most Patagonia apparel, these feature recycled fabrics throughout, but you wouldn't know that unless someone told you. The fabric quality, feel and performance is outstanding. I would rock these every day if my wife would let me -- on and off the trail.
