A tactical or soldier belt is not a simple belt that's sole purpose is to support the trousers. This is a belt that is designed to carry extra gear. Made to be durable, this belt stays in place when you hang extra gear on it such as mags, handcuffs, radio, etc. Nowadays, army belts aren't limited to the military and gun community only. In fact, you can get yourself one even if you're a hiker or camper, or simply spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities (farming, gardening, etc.)
