Create amazing encounters that showcase the world's beauty and diversity. Although the epidemic has changed when, where, and how we travel, we can't wait to get back on the road.

So, don't waste any time and start reading this list!

Yasuní National Park (Ecuador)

Yasuní is home to armadillos, capybaras, sloths, spider monkeys, and over 600 different bird species. It is one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet. The Amazon river dolphin, and other intriguing and vulnerable species, can be seen in the park's Napo and Curaray rivers.

Yasuní is also home to the Tagaeri and Taromenane people. These are Waorani tribal communities that live in deliberate isolation and move between waterways in homemade boats.

In addition, France is leading the effort against deforestation in eastern Ecuador's Yasuni National Park. This park was named a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1989, in acknowledgment of the Amazon's global importance.

So, in case you want some sustainable adventure, this is the right place for you!

Chimanimani National Park (Mozambique)

Chimanimani National Park, which was formed in October 2020 on the country's border with Zimbabwe, is home to Mozambique's highest mountain, the 7,992ft Mount Binga.

Elephants and at least 42 other mammal species, as well as a stunning variety of plant and birdlife, call this place home.

Birdwatching, hiking, and staying overnight at the Ndzou Camp, a small community eco-lodge, are examples of sustainable tourist activities. These provide up-close views of a beautiful wild region, which Guyton particularly appreciates seeing at sunset.

There's utter silence except for the birds because there are no roads for kilometers around.  In that warm light, you receive a few seconds of nearly transcendental peace.

Adelaide (Australia)

The United Nations forecasts that two-thirds of the world's population will live in cities by 2050. It is critical to train people to be more environmentally conscious.

The National Park City movement is a worldwide effort to improve urban living for people and nature by applying national park concepts to entire cities. Adelaide, Australia's metropolitan area, is trying to overtake London as the second "National Park City".

Green Adelaide leads the Adelaide National Park City initiative. They aim to encourage everyone to live and work in a sustainable way, connect with nature on a regular basis, and respect the Kaurna, Adelaide's first people.

Columbia River Gorge (Oregon/Washington)

Sustainable destinations are a way to draw attention to local's nature problems. A nonprofit partnership has launched a collaborative movement to help decrease tourist effects on local nature and culture, which has evolved into a model for developing sustainable tourism industry.

The "Ready, Set, Gorge" visitor education program and the East Gorge Food Trail, a combination of farms, historic hotels, wineries, and other local experiences, are two of the Columbia Gorge Tourism Alliance's projects.

Tourists who realize the necessity of respecting the environment they are passing through, helped reduce local communities' anxieties.

Łódź (Poland)

Lódz is a pioneer in sustainable living, adopting cutting-edge environmental solutions such as heating homes using pre-RDF (refuse-derived fuel) and biomass energy.

By establishing 70 parcel locker sites and electric car-charging facilities in the city center in 2021, the city collaborated with the European e-commerce delivery platform InPost to drastically cut CO2 emissions and traffic in the city center.

Green space covers over a third of the city, ranging from new playgrounds to the 2,977-acre Lagiewnicki Forest.  Abandoned factories are being reincarnated into parks, cultural centers, housing, and retail spaces in the city's former industrial zones.

It is with no admiration that this is one of the most promising sustainable destinations for this year!
