It's no surprise -- so try not to think of it as some unwanted burden that is suddenly thrust upon you!  While it can feel like one big hassle, it doesn't have to.

Even the best of quality choices – fabrics, finishes, furniture or fixtures – have their limits!

Your Interior designer is your dependable resource for helping you balance out refreshment or replacement in a rhythm that will suit the design integrity of your Interior environment – and your budget.

It is important to know the endurance, wear patterning and advisable maintenance of all components that come into play when choosing – then, installing – your Interior design project Vision components.  Sometimes, it is tempting to go with a trendy choice that may not have the sustainability that's right for your application.  Again, your professional Interior design team has the advice and the answers to those occasional conflicts of judgment!

Planning ahead for the inevitable -- where outfitting your Interior space is concerned – is not only a good discipline against disappointment, it allows you to make better choices at the front end, and avoid unpleasant surprises at the other end.  And, you won't want "the other end" to arrive sooner than necessary!

Managing that balance relates directly to the partnership between satisfaction and frugality!  You will want that balance to be acceptable in its aesthetics and its costs.  Sometimes the "wanna" factor can get us into hot water with the budget, so it's important to know exactly where the more and the less pencil out!  For that longer durability that is desired, the cost might be a bit more.  But, buying too cheaply may actually cost more when you factor in earlier replacement.  We all know that, logically, but it doesn't always soften the Ouch! factor.

Concerning the longevity of choices... one of my least welcome communications from an existing client, with a completed installation, is the one about "fad disappointment."   Giving in to a fad that includes no potential for becoming a classic, but rather becomes a re-do nightmare, is a tough pill to swallow!  (I really don't want to say I told you so! about that shocking pink ceiling...)

So, a part of the wear and tear responsibility includes the wear and tear on your satisfaction ratio!  Ever wonder why your Interior designer walks that fine line between advising and selecting?  Often, a client will want their Interior designer to outright make choices for them.  Boy! Is that a red flag!  It works better when a range of choices – any one of which will work well for the selection at hand – is presented.  Your Interior design advisor will have considered all factors in the family of selections approved for harmony, and from which you can safely choose.

Aesthetics and durability don't need to be enemies!  All components contain ingredients that influence both durability and aesthetics.  Yes.  Red goes with everything...but your expert knows the reds, and their quality, and the potential to fade into pink! What are the pigments, the chemicals and the reactions to light?  All affect the integrity of that red (or blue or green), its durability and its wear and tear factor!  All Interior design elements, whether fabric, paint, metals or light, have characteristics important to their durability!

That's why we rely on our experts and specialists for comprehensive insights, their knowledge and experience.  Like insurance on your car or yourself, the correct and informed guidance concerning the sustainability of your Interior design choices provides insurance that your Interior design installation will last and wear reasonably.

Gotta know the back story for all important choices and decisions!
