You already know that it is impossible for us to travel to a new city, and not stopping to admire all the beauty of the buildings, and Milan is no exception. As it would be expected, the buildings in Milan are true art. The architectural shapes are something really near to perfection.

Allow yourself to fall in love with such beauty. And may this work as an incentive to go visit Milan!

Teatro alla Scala

Remember those magnificent theaters from the movies, where you only see the red of the curtains, and the gold of the chairs? Well, this is the real-life theater of everybody's dreams.

Teatro Alla Scala dates from 1778 and it is the most famous opera house of Europe. In 2004 it suffered a sumptuous renovation at the hands of the Swiss architect Mario Botta.

Besides being one of the best buildings in Milan, the theater continues to operate. Here you can find the monthly calendar with all the shows and concerts that happen there. We highly suggest you to visit the building and stay for a concert. It is a lifetime experience.

Bosco Verticale

Every nature lover knows this building. It is a tribute to sustainable architecture with 800 trees and 15,000 plants (20,000-sqm forest) planted on the cantilevered balconies. This is a work by Studio Boeri, and the more we know, the more breathtaking this project gets.

The fact that this building has so many plants also contributes to the variety and changing of the façade. So, you can see a totally different building depending on the season, or the weather.

This building, due to its green color, is a breath of fresh air in the middle of the city.

Villa Necchi Campiglio

If you, like us, are a true outdoor lover, then you must stop in this building. Villa Necchi Campiglio is a rationalist-style mansion built in 1935 by the architect Piero Portaluppi for the Necchi Campiglio family.

By the time, the mansion had many technological features, like elevators, intercoms and it was the first Milanese house to have a private heated swimming pool. When visiting here, you will feel at home. That happens because the family lived here until 2001, so the house has still that living look in its interiors. Now, the mansion operates as a historic house museum.

On the outside, there's a well-cared garden with pink, yellow, and red tulips, making it a true painting.
