UPPER LAKE — Hope Marcks led the way with 13 assists and Jordann Gudmundson served five aces to go along with three kills as the Upper Lake High School junior varsity volleyball team defeated Victory Academy 25-21, 25-7 on Wednesday evening in Upper Lake.

Treasure Hodges added five aces and two kills in the win.

"We have some players in new positions and were missing a few starters, but they adjusted and started playing together," Upper Lake head coach Fawn Rave said. "All the girls were serving great tonight."

The Cougars resume their North Central League II schedule Thursday night at home against Credo at 5 p.m. There was no varsity match Wednesday.
