When your fruit is mushy, take your jars out of the water fill the super hot jar with mixture leaving space at the top of the jar, making sure the rim of your jar is clean and dry before you cap it. Get your lids on, not to tight. Then get your jars back in the boiled water and now boil the Jared jam for 40 minutes.

There you have it. Your jars of jam will last you a year or more. Remember to place your finished product in a cool DARK place for storage.

Make sure to turn your heat down once the fruit starts to boil. After a time you will turn your stove down to low or a simmer. Stay near your stove stirring-making sure your fruit is not sticking to the bottom of your pot, and or needing a bit more water.
