| Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting Washington, D.C. with my family. We spent the week learning, exploring, and walking around the city. It was such a fun and educational trip!
| Did you know that D.C. has 24 national park sites? These National Park Service (NPS) sites encompass a diverse array of parks, memorials, and historic sites. These sites are managed by various NPS units, including National Mall and Memorial Parks, National Capital Parks-East, and Rock Creek Park. Each site offers unique opportunities to explore the nation's history, culture, and natural beauty. While we were there, I even became a Junior Ranger at the National Mall and Memorial Parks.
| Did you know that the National Archives houses many historic and important national park system documents? These include the Organic Act of 1916, which created the National Park Service, executive orders for new parks, topographic maps, and so much more.
| Did you know that you can get a library card at the Library of Congress for free if you're 16 or older? Yes, I got one! The Library of Congress is the largest library in the world and a beautiful place to visit.
