View this in your browser. Greetings from Kathy Cherry Books! Happy May! ✨ Yay! One of my favorite weeks just happened - National Park Week! This year, they presented a new park playlist each day as their theme. The daily playlists included greatest hits, alternative, pop, nature songs, classic rock, heavy metal, rhythm and blues, dance music, and ended with walkup songs. Throughout National Park Week, I thought a lot about our national parks and all the memories of our visits there. And sang a few songs too! 😉 National parks bring us great joy in addition to so many other benefits. National Park Week provided us with a daily reminder of all the goodness within this great and unique system. Cheers to another great National Park Week! Yay! ✨ Speaking of our national parks system, I had the opportunity to visit Pearl Harbor National Memorial and the USS Arizona Memorial. It's hard to articulate the emotions standing there on the USS Arizona Memorial. It was though a great opportunity to learn more about the history of this attack on the world and the local impact as well as. In school, you learn just small bits of information, so I really enjoyed learning more in depth information. I even became a Junior Ranger! (I highly recommend doing the Junior Ranger program at any NPS site! Regardless of your age!) On the fictional side of national parks, I'm so happy to share that Polar Post: An Erutuf National Park Novel just won The Golden Wizard Book Prize! You're the first to hear the fun news! And I've even done it as an adult. It's not just for children! Since my books are set in a national park, I wanted to create an activity book for Erutuf National Park.
